Happy New Year All!!

Begin the Service

Let's start the New Year Together! 

It is 110 Won Buddhist Era (wongi, 원기) and 2025.

It is always great to see you all! but it felt even more special to meet you all on the New Year's day!

Meditation

We began the service with meditation, clear our mind, gether the scatterd single mindedness.

Prayers

And we offered the very first prayer of the year together for ourselves and for the world. 

Dharma words from Prime Dharma Master Wangsan

Our member, Seong do read the New Year's Dharma words from the Prime Dharma Master Wangsan, 

" Let us practice “gratitude” and “reciprocate grace” by coming together as “One.”"

Dharma talk from

Rev. Inmyung delivered the dharma talk about our blessings, secular one and the everlasting one. 

She emphasized us that we need to plant the blessings to receive it. 

 

 

and of course there were beautiful performances to celebrate.

While we enjoying it we wrote our wishes and resolutions for the year. 

it will be laminated and put on the wall, so that all of us can check time to time during the year. 

 

Benjamin played solo Jang gu, the traditional Korean Drum. 

He has been praticed Jang gu in Korea for 3 years.

 

Gabor played his saxophone, add beautiful melody into our new year's service. 

 

 

Just before closing, Rev. Inmyung make a announcement including the Rev. Hyunduk's moving.

She will be moving to Brisbane temple as of 20th of January and new male Kyomunim will be coming from Korea. 

 

We had 떡국 TTeok guk, Traditional Korean dish for celebrating the new year and yummy kimchi pancakes.

We did play Yut (윳놀이) after the meal, famous Korean traditional Game, it was so fun that it could make us digest all the big lunch we had!
