Memory of Kimchi Workshop
Yesterday, we had a lovely time making Kimch and meditating with our participants.
The day began early with preparing for the big day.
We washed the cabbages that we salted the night before,
(We used less salt to salt them for long hours)
And we prepared Kimchi paste ahead, made Japchae.. and etc!
from 20 minutes ago, our car park had filled up.
This time we had many newcomers booked in, so we wanted to welcome them with extra care 😉
At 10:00 a.m., we began with orientation and meditation.
Rev. In myung introduced our centre and Won-Buddhism briefly and naviagate us into meditation.
After cultivating our minds, we moved to make Kimchi!
We learn about the ingredients and salting, preserving and making of Kimchi.
Lastly, we enjoyed our own Kimchi, Cucumber kimchi, Mixed grain rice and Japchae for Lunch.
