Winter Welcoming Meditation Retreat

Winter Welcoming Meditation Retreat – Sunday, 28 May 2017

Dharma Talk on the Preparation for ‘Dying Well’
The winter season is likened to the twilight years of a life.  As winter approaches we will be holding a retreat to give a Dharma talk on how to prepare ‘well-dying’.  In Buddhism dying is mere a transmigration to a new life.  In the dharma talk we will explore the cycle of our lives in comparison with the cycle of four seasons.  This retreat is also in honour of Won Buddhism Founding Master Sotaesan’s passing into Nirvana on 1 June 1943.  All previous Buddhas, Saints and Sages who lived before us will be honoured as well.
Truth is One; Paths are Many
Along with the Dharma talk we will practise various types of meditation, Qi-gong, healing massage and prayers for Barugongyang (temple food).  Come and open your mind to the bright and fresh winter energy, awaken the vibrant chi-energy within you and join us for a unique cultural and spiritual experience through this one day retreat.
